Legal and labour relations services in relation to the negotiation and arbitration of collective agreements for others for the advancement of the social, economic and general welfare of members of the association and its members which relate directly to the improvement of working conditions and disposable income thereof namely providing recommendations and negotiations with government agencies, labour board, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Long-Term Care and other government ministries and agencies, and organizations including the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), task forces, colleges and universities; gathering and studying of facts to identify key issues; preparation and release of position papers and briefs; reviewing standards and practices to assure high compliance of the standards of provincial health care regulations; preparation of reports in the field of nursing; legal services being the regulation of relations between nurses and other health-care professionals and their employees with the negotiation of contracts; bargaining services for conducting contract negotiations and settlement negotiations; arbitration services being interest rights and arbitration; informational services provided to members and unions relating to activities as a trade union in collective bargaining; organization of political meetings; organization of live and virtual political union rallies; labour relations consultation and legal services
