The name behind Take Notice comes from a high-calibre basketball player currently playing on the Raptors 905, Duane Notice. Duane has a significant following and presence in the basketball world that is well-respected all across Canada and the United States. Growing up in Toronto, Duane began playing basketball when there was still a bit of a stigma and hockey was the main sport. Through it all, Duane never stopped doing what he loved and ended up receiving a scholarship to the University of South Carolina to play basketball. Across the nation, the name Duane Notice is known within basketball. Throughout his career on Team Canada, and still to this day, Notice is known as a pioneer in Canadian Basketball and is leading the way and path for future Canadians to be able to attain their dreams. But ultimately, once Duane's playing career comes to an end, he has several other dreams he wants to achieve, including being one of the broadcasters on-air for basketball. Notice believes that it only makes sense to give back to the sport and community that helped guide him through life.
