Sarnia-Lambton Alerts (previously known as My Community Notification Network, or MyCNN), is a notification system that can contact subscribers through a communication method of their choice, such as telephone, email and SMS to receive notifications about extreme weather, industrial incidents, boil water advisories, road closures, and other community notices. This is a free service, made available through the co-operation of participating municipalities, first responders, and area industries. The goal of Sarnia-Lambton Alerts is to enhance existing communication methods in order to meet the changing needs of the community, which largely receives information from a variety of outlet, including social media.
